What we cover
How places get on the map
Every place on Cebuzone is chosen by the getReallyCebu team, not paid for. We start from places we have been to or that Cebu locals repeatedly recommend, then check each one against what a first-time visitor actually needs to know: how to get there, what it costs, when to go, and whether it is worth the trip once you factor in the drive.
Businesses cannot buy a listing or a better position. If that ever changes it will be labelled clearly on the place itself; right now Cebuzone takes no money from the places it lists.
How we keep it current
Fees, opening hours, and access change often in Cebu, so each place carries the date it was last checked. When a contributor sends in a place or a correction, the getReallyCebu team reviews it — photos, location, and the practical details — before it goes live, and contributors are credited on the page, never paid.
The long-form guides — itineraries, where to stay, the best time to visit — are written and updated by the team and carry their own "last updated" date.
