The Camotes are reached from Danao, the first big town on the north coast road. Buses from the North Bus Terminal run to Danao in about an hour to an hour and a half, and Jomalia Shipping's ferry crosses to Consuelo in the Camotes.

By water

Four sailings a day, at 5:30am, 8:30am, 2:30pm and 5:30pm, taking about two hours. Sailings depend on the weather.
Private car, van or Grab
Private cars with a driver, shared vans (V-hire) and Grab cover the same road. Prices are negotiated and depend on the vehicle, the distance and the season, so ask for a quote before you commit — unlike a bus, there is no fixed fare.
Danao port and the ferry
Any bus on the north coast road passes through Danao; ask the conductor for the port. Jomalia Shipping is the operator on the Danao to Consuelo crossing and sails four times a day, so work backwards from the sailing you want.
Sailings depend on the weather, and Jomalia also lists some crossings from Mactan, so check the day's schedule with the operator.
On the Camotes
There is little useful public transport between the beaches, lakes and caves, so most visitors hire a motorbike or a tricycle with a driver. The island-hopping guide covers the islands as part of a longer trip.
Coming back
The ferry runs back to Danao and buses run from Danao to the North Bus Terminal. Work back from the last sailing, and leave a margin for the bus.
