Cascades is a six-hectare green day-use park in Compostela, built around a large lake with a stage pavilion and one of northern Cebu's biggest swimming pools — a 600-square-metre pool that stays a wadeable four feet deep. There are open fields, cottages, and lakeside and poolside cabanas to rent.
It is a place for a group day out — family bonding, team building, a party or an event — rather than a scenic hike. You can kayak and paddleboard on the lake, fish for tilapia, swim, or just claim a shaded table for the day. It is an easy drive north of Metro Cebu.

The day pass is around ₱150 on weekdays; check the official Cascades Nature Park website or Facebook page before travelling for current rates. It covers parking, a table and chairs, and use of the pool, lake and public facilities. Outside food is allowed subject to a ₱50 per head corkage fee, but outside alcohol is strictly prohibited — there is an on-site bar and grill. Mornings are best to beat the heat and weekend crowds. It is about 45 to 60 minutes north of Cebu City by car, or via a north-bound jeepney or bus toward Danao, getting off at Barangay Magay near the Flying V station, then taking a short habal-habal ride.
