Buho Rock Resort is a rocky coastal attraction in Western Poblacion, Poro, on Camotes Island. The site is built around a distinctive coral-rock formation overlooking the Camotes Sea, reached by a steep concrete staircase. Visitors come for the elevated sea views, swimming, snorkeling, and cliff-jumping platforms above the water. It is a compact stop that suits visitors looking for a combination of coastal scenery and water-based activities.

What to expect

The main feature is the ship-like coral-rock formation below the main entrance. A steep staircase leads down toward the shoreline and the rock platforms, where visitors can look out over the surrounding Camotes Sea and, when conditions allow, swim or snorkel around the rocky coast. Buho Rock is particularly known for its diving platforms at different heights. The lower platform is more approachable for experienced swimmers, while the higher platform requires considerably more confidence and favorable water depth. Jumping is optional; the viewpoint, rock formations, swimming, and snorkeling provide alternatives. Allow roughly 1–2 hours for a relaxed visit, including the descent and climb back up. The steep stairs make it less suitable for visitors with limited mobility, while the water activities are better suited to confident swimmers and people comfortable around rocky coastal terrain.

Know before you go

Entrance is around ₱20 for adults and around ₱10 for children; check with the Poro tourism office or the local attraction contact before travelling because fees can change. Visiting hours have been listed around 8 AM–5 PM, but confirm before making a trip. The staircase to the water is steep, and the return climb can be tiring. If you plan to swim or snorkel, water shoes can help on the rocky shoreline. Do not jump unless the water depth and sea conditions have been checked for the particular tide, and follow instructions from personnel at the site. Avoid cliff jumping in shallow or rough conditions.
