The main line, with aircon and ordinary buses from the small hours into the evening, stopping in most towns on the way.

Metro Cebu Autobus Maya via Bagay
Also runs Daanbantayan via Kawit and Polambato port in Bogo, so check the sign.

White Stallion Express Daanbantayan / Medellin
Goes as far as Daanbantayan, not to the port, so you would need onward transport for the last stretch to Maya.

Provincial lines along the north coast; they stop at Bogo.
Bus operators and departure times change without notice. Fares are set by the operator and worked out by the conductor, so confirm yours when you board.
By water

Maya → Malapascua Public boats
Boats leave when they fill, usually 15 to 20 people, and run in daylight only: the last crossings are around 5pm and there are no night crossings. If nobody else turns up for the last one you may have to charter the boat, so do not aim for it.
Private car, van or Grab
Private cars with a driver, shared vans (V-hire) and Grab cover the same road. Prices are negotiated and depend on the vehicle, the distance and the season, so ask for a quote before you commit — unlike a bus, there is no fixed fare.
Maya port and the boat
Buses end at the port in Maya. Boats to Malapascua run in daylight only, so work back from the last one rather than forward from when you leave: the bus is about four hours from the terminal, and leaving before late morning keeps the last boat a comfortable margin away.

Daanbantayan
The Maya buses stop in most towns and barangays on the way, and Daanbantayan is the last town before the port. Buses that end in Daanbantayan or Medellin leave you without a bus for the final stretch to Maya, so check the sign says Maya.
Coming back
Boats run back to Maya in daylight and buses run from Maya to the North Bus Terminal from the small hours until the evening. For a flight out, spend the night in Cebu City rather than trying to do it the same day.
