About Suba Beach

Suba Beach is a scenic stretch of coastline in Sitio Suba, Barangay Maya, Daanbantayan, known for its golden-white sand, calm blue waters, coconut-lined shore, and wide coastal views. The shoreline extends along several nearby properties and features sections of shifting sandbar, giving visitors plenty of space to enjoy the beach, take photos, watch the sunset, or simply relax by the sea. Its location near the Maya port also makes it a convenient coastal stop before or after a trip to Malapascua Island.

What to expect

Suba is a working-village beach rather than a resort strip: golden-white sand and calm water backed by coconut palms in Sitio Suba, right beside the Maya port. Fishing boats pull up on the sand in the mornings and children play along the shore, and the beach runs on past several small properties with sections of shifting sandbar and wide coastal views. Its real value is position and timing. Late afternoon light on the sand is excellent for photos and the sunset here is open and unobstructed, and because it sits next to the Maya–Malapascua ferry area it slots in easily as a first or last stop around an island trip rather than a destination you travel all the way north just for.

Editorial review

It shares the exact same gorgeous coastline as the high-end resort, making it a clever budget-friendly option. The best part? There’s zero fuss—you can turn up and go for a swim whenever you feel like it!
