Inambakan Falls

About Inambakan Falls

Tucked away in the quiet southern municipality of Ginatilan, Inambakan Falls is a magnificent multi-tiered natural attraction famous for its towering 100-foot main cascade and striking milky-blue waters. Far less commercialized than other southern waterfalls, this jungle oasis invites travelers to swim in cool mountain basins, jump off limestone ledges, and explore several distinct upper pools hidden along a lush rainforest river path.

What to expect

Visiting Inambakan Falls is a multi-level waterfall trek through tropical jungle scenery. The experience begins at the main lower level, where a thundering 100-foot drop pours into a deep, turquoise plunge pool surrounded by towering trees and rock walls. Spray from the main cascade cools the surrounding air, creating an invigorating atmosphere for swimming. A short trail leads up concrete steps and natural dirt paths to four additional upper tiers. Each level offers its own character, from secluded shallow wading pools under palm fronds to ideal cliff-jumping ledges into crystal-clear pools. Most visitors spend two to three hours swimming, taking photos, and relaxing in the shaded river environment. It is an ideal stop for adventure seekers, couples, and nature lovers exploring South Cebu.

Know before you go

Expect an entrance fee around ₱50 per person and a small vehicle parking fee around ₱10 to ₱30 (confirm details locally). Operating hours are generally around 6:00 AM to 5:00 PM daily. The walk from the main entrance down to the lower falls takes less than ten minutes via concrete stairs. Hiring a local guide is optional but helpful for navigating the upper tiers safely; tipping is appreciated. Bring sturdy water shoes with good grip for slippery rocks, a dry bag for electronics, and cash in small denominations. Always check water levels before cliff jumping and avoid swimming during heavy rainfall.
